PERIL’s island
Created by the Harrowgate Community
Peril’s Island is inspired by Shakespeare’s PERICLES: Prince of Tyre (performed in Clark Park, this past July), but is a completely original immersive experience. This production is one of two Park Plays, a project developed by Shakespeare in Clark Park which uses Shakespeare’s text as inspiration for a community centered original work. These Community and Company Artists have been generating ideas, movement and corny jokes together since 2019. They have persevered through the most difficult circumstances to bring you a work of art from their hearts and their lives. Peril’s Island is unique to these people and this place. This project was made possible thanks to lead support from the William Penn Foundation.
